Route Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Arusha

Our agent will receive you when you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transport you to the hotel in Arusha. Later, our safari manager will arrive for a thorough safari briefing before leaving you to take use of the lodge’s amenities and the pleasant weather in Arusha.

Spend the night at the hotel in Arusha or somewhere comparable. Included is breakfast.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Leave the lodge after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park. Drop off your safari chef at the Makuyuni crossroads before entering the park for your first wildlife drive of the day. The majority of Tarangire is made up of low-lying hills at the bottom of the Great East African Rift Valley, which runs along the lovely Tarangire River. Huge African baobab trees, scattered Acacia forest, and a sizable swamp region in the south make up the majority of the park’s vegetation.

During the dry season, wild animals use the Tarangire River and the wetland as a camp for refugees. The largest elephant herds ever seen in Africa can be found in this park, along with other rare animals like the Great Kudu and Fringe-eared Oryx. There are 400 different bird species in Tarangire, including the endangered Ash Stalling. Drive to your campsite before or during dusk to cap off this day of your Zanzibar beach and Tanzania’s top camping safaris.

Spend the night at Camp/Lodge/Hotel. Included are all meals.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, head for Serengeti National Park, also known as “The Wild Africa.” En route to the Ngorongoro gate, drive via nearby towns and along the high-lying farmland of Karatu. After completing the necessary park paperwork and registration, you’ll travel up to Ngorongoro’s 2,300-meter highlands and stop at the crater vantage point to get some fantastic aerial shots of the crater floor. After that, take a drive along the crater rim and then descend to the Serengeti National Park’s endlessly undulating plains.

Stop at a Masai hamlet along the trip; a Masai warrior will invite you to experience some cultural interaction; you will tour their homes and hear a brief account of their nomadic lifestyle; you will meet the family and children; you may converse with them and take pictures with them. Eventually, they will perform a goodbye song that involves leaping into the air, and you are welcome to join in the dancing. Drive to Naabi Hills Gate afterwards to enter Serengeti.

Spend some time filling out the necessary park paperwork, then enjoy your packed lunch before beginning your afternoon game drives in the Serengeti to look for the Great Wildebeest Migration. Come to the Camp before or around sunset.

You will spend the night at Camp/Lodge/Hotel. Included are all meals.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti

We advise leaving your tent after a cup of coffee and carrying your lunch box and breakfast box for an early morning game drive that starts at 6:30. Early early game drives provide you the opportunity to see the stunning dawn in the Serengeti and increase your chances of finding a cat family on the road because they spend the majority of their morning avoiding the morning mist.

Other predators returning from a long night of hunting, a pack of lionesses preparing an ambush in the morning, or a lioness eating along the road are also visible. You will go directly to where the Wildebeest Migration is occurring in the Serengeti and spend a lot of time with them. You can expect to observe some animal action, such as hunting, fighting, eating, or even hunting. Whether or not there is a Wildebeest Migration, the Serengeti is still worthwhile a trip. You return to your campsite later, just before or during sunset.

You will spend the night at Camp/Lodge/Hotel. Included are all meals.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

The best camping safari and Zanzibar beach vacations take you to the Ngorongoro Crater on this day. After breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and game-drive to the Naabi Hills gate and via the Malanja valley. Afterwards, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the crater bottom to witness wildlife.

The Eden of Africa, Ngorongoro Crater, was created by internal forces about a million years ago. After the eruption, it left a sizable caldera that was wrongly labeled a crater. A broader diversity of species, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippos, buffalo, topi, eland, and the uncommon black rhino, is supported by an annual flow of water from the highlands of Ngorongoro and sufficient feed.

Predators like hyenas, lions, cheetahs, jackals, and the enigmatic leopard live in great numbers in this gorgeous crater and require a keen eye and training to spot. There are many different kinds of birds, from aquatic to woodland species, and with any luck, the so-called Big Five can be spotted within a single day of game drives.

A broader variety of bird species, both aquatic and terrestrial, can be found in the Crater in addition to other creatures. In the southwest corner of the crater, you will see the hippo pool and a sizable but shallow alkaline lake that are frequently frequented by flamingo and hippos flocks. Drive to Simba public camping near the crater rim for dinner and the night after taking a break for lunch.

You will spend the night at Camp/Lodge/Hotel. Included are all meals.

Day 6: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Zanzibar

After a leisurely morning, pack your things and take some beautiful photos before beginning the afternoon journey back to Arusha Airport for your departure to Zanzibar. On the drive to Arusha, you can stop at a few Maasai markets or curio shops if you prefer. Included are lunch and breakfast.

When you land in Zanzibar, you’ll be met by our agent, who will drive you to the hotel in the island’s northeast.

You will spend the night at Lodge/Hotel. Included are breakfast and dinner.

Day 7 – 8: Zanzibar beach

Relax and take in Zanzibar’s beaches. If you’d like, work with the lodge to arrange some water sports. You have the choice of scheduling a trip to the spice plantation and the stone town on one of these days, doing the spice tour on the way there on Day 9, and possibly taking the stone town tour on Day 10 if your flight is delayed.

Spend the night on the island’s northeast at the Hotel. Included are breakfast and dinner.

Day 9: Zanzibar Beach to Stone Town

On this day, after breakfast, you will drive to Hotel in Stone Town. Instead, you may choose to take the well-known spice tour, which includes lunch (Zanzibar delicacies prepared with spices). You can go for a solo stroll through Stone Town in the day, or you can book a boat journey to Prison Island and return at dusk. See Zanzibar island excursions.

You will spend the night in the Hotel. Included is breakfast.
