Route Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Arusha

For your first night in Tanzania, we’ll pick you up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and take you to the Lodge/Hotel/Camp.

Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti

After breakfast, you and your guide will depart from Arusha and travel across the Ngorongoro crater to the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you will spend the next half day seeing wildlife and migration. The oldest and most well-known national park is Serengeti, which is well known for the yearly migration of wildebeest. Zebra and Thomson gazelles also join the walk in search of new grazing. Buffalo, giraffe, eland, topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, lion, cheetah, leopard, and African jackal are a few of the animals that may be found in the Serengeti. In order to see as much of the game as possible today, we will bring a packed lunch.

  • Guests may stay in Lodge/Hotel/Camp.

Day 3 – 4: Serengeti

Throughout your two full days of Serengeti exploration, you’ll make priceless memories of your safari excursion. You will be in the perfect location to observe more than two million animals, primarily wildebeest, as they move over the plains in search of new grass and water during the famous big migration on the Serengeti.

If you’d want to see the migration from above, you might elect to take a hot air balloon journey. Please be aware that the champagne breakfast in the woods and hot air balloon have an extra cost and are dependent on availability.

  • Lodge/Hotel/Camp is where you can stay.
  • Breakfast, a packed lunch, and dinner are offered daily.

Day 5: Venture to Ngorongoro

You will say goodbye to the Serengeti after breakfast and start the arduous journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The historic site of Olduvai Gorge, made famous by Louis and Mary Leakey when they discovered the remains of Zinjathropus, an early hominid species that inhabited the earth around 2.7 million years ago, will be your lunch stop along the way. You will be driven to the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge within the Ngorongoro Conservation Reserve following lunch.

  • Lodge/Hotel/Camp is where you can stay and eat.
  • Breakfast, a lunchbox, and dinner are provided.

Day 6: Explore the Ngorongoro Crater

You will enter the renowned Ngorongoro Crater for animal watching after breakfast. A massive volcano erupted and then fell on itself, creating a vast caldera, about two to three million years ago. Its floor is 260 km2 (100 miles2) in size and is 610 m (2,000 ft) deep.

The original volcano’s height is thought to have ranged from fifteen to nineteen thousand feet (4500 to 5800 meters). The crater is home to some of the world’s biggest concentrations of animals, including lions, elephants, zebras, rhinos, leopards, buffalo, gazelles, wildebeest, hippopotamuses, and numerous bird species. A highlight of your trip will be visiting the Ngorongoro Crater, which is a well-deserving UN World Heritage Site.

  • Lodge/Hotel/Camp is where you can stay and eat.
  • Breakfast, a lunchbox, and dinner are provided.

Day 7: Head to the Park that Hemingway Loved

Go for Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast. Manyara was formerly cited by the great American author and explorer Ernest Hemingway as one of his favorites. The water of Lake Manyara, an alkaline body of water that draws flamingos and numerous migrating species, covers around 231km2 of the park’s entire 329km2 area. The trails close to the park’s entrance, where baboons and blue monkeys frequently congregate, are towered over by enormous fig and mahogany trees. You might see buffalo, elephants, warthogs, and giraffe out in the plains and close to the lake. Despite its diminutive size, Lake Manyara has a variety of fauna and environments to offer. Dinner will be served at the close-by Lodge/Hotel/Camp, which offers stunning views of the lake and park.

  • Lake Manyara Nature Camp is a place to stay.
  • Breakfasts, lunches on the go, and dinners.

Day 8: Explore Tarangire National Park

After leaving Lake Manyara, you’ll head to the close-by Tarangire National Park, which is renowned for having a big elephant population. The Tarangire River frequently attracts large herds of wildlife, as well as a wide variety of birds, but the elephants almost always steal the show!

  • Guests may stay and eat at Lodge/Hotel/Camp.
  • Breakfast, a lunchbox, and dinner are provided.

Day 9: Final Day on Safari & Your Departure to Zanzibar

When you leave Tarangire and head back to Arusha town, take in one more morning of game viewing and the breathtaking African scenery. You’ll eat your lunch at a peaceful retreat inside the Shanga Shangaa arts complex, where craftsmen who are disabled create exquisite jewelry and glassware. Moreover, they provide a delectable dinner! After purchasing some mementos and presents, you’ll have the chance to visit the Cultural Heritage Center, which features a gift shop, an art museum, and an exhibit of tanzanite—a gemstone more valuable than diamonds! You will be transported to the Arusha airport in the afternoon for your trip to Zanzibar. You will be welcomed upon arrival in Zanzibar and taken to the hotel for some well-earned rest.

  • Lodge/Hotel/Camp is where you can stay and eat.
  • Breakfast, lunch, and supper are the meals.

Day 10 – 13: Zanzibar Beach Relaxation

Today is yours to do as you like and take in the breathtaking scenery and atmosphere from your accommodation. You could just want to unwind at the spa, the beach, or the pool. Tennis, biking, and horseback riding are just a few of the available activities if you have the energy. Some of these sports may have an added cost.

  • Sea Cliff Hotel Resort is a place to stay.
  • Supper, lunch, and breakfast.

Day 14: Departure from Zanzibar
